This is a question I hear from almost everyone I meet with. In general it takes a minimum of two months from the time your order is placed to have it set. This gives us time to order the stone from the granite company, prepare the design, get your approval on the design, engrave and set. Allen Monument Company covers most of the state of Nebraska so when you think about how many monuments that likely adds up to you will understand the need for time.
Everyone seems to want their monument by Memorial Day. Because of this, Memorial Day orders need to be placed no later than the last day of February each year. We need that extra month because of the high volume of orders.
If you order in the fall, it is possible your monument will not be set until spring. In Nebraska weather can be a major deterrent to setting the monuments. When possible, when orders made int he fall are not complete before winter, we set the cement slab in hopes that there will be a break in weather over the winter where the monument can be placed on the slab.
If you need your monument set by a specific date for a ceremony or gathering, please order a minimum of 3 months ahead to assure it will be set for the special day.
